(JACKSON, Ala.) – As of 8 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3, Clarke-Washington EMC aided by approximately 300 cooperative and contract line workers from several states have restored power to nearly 12,000 of its 20,000 meters across Clarke, Washington, Wilcox and Monroe counties.

Although, great progress has been made the damage was extensive across the entire system and is expected to take many days to fully restore service across the four county service area.

Clarke-Washington EMC would like to express appreciation to those who have provided gestures of thanks, housing, meals, and washing laundry. Thank you for your patience as we work to fully restore power to the system.
