2026 Back -to-School Breakfast
The 2026 Back-to-School Breakfast was held on August 4th, 2026 at the Jackson Community House.
The Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce has proudly hosted the Back-to-School Breakfast for more than 25 years. This long-standing tradition serves as a meaningful way to show appreciation for the educators who invest in students each day. Courtney Clark of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce helps head up this event each year. The breakfast welcomes educators from both public and private schools in Jackson. Teachers, administrators, and school staff gather before the start of the school year to enjoy breakfast, fellowship, gifts, and door prizes as they prepare to welcome students back to the classroom.
“The success of the Back-to-School Breakfast is truly a community effort. It would not be possible without the support of our sponsors and Chamber members. Their generosity allows us to provide breakfast, door prizes, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere that lets our educators know how much they are appreciated. Seeing our local businesses and organizations come together to invest in our schools is what makes this event so special year after year. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our sponsors and Chamber members who generously support this event each year. A special thank you to my assistant, whose behind-the-scenes dedication, hard work, and commitment are instrumental in making this event a success year after year. It truly takes the entire community working together, and we are incredibly thankful for everyone who helps make our educators feel valued.
The Back-to-School Breakfast is more than just a meal—it’s our way of saying 'thank you' to the people who dedicate their lives to educating and inspiring the next generation. Before the school year begins, we want every educator to know they are appreciated, supported, and celebrated. This event brings together businesses, community leaders, and volunteers to recognize the tremendous impact our teachers and school staff have on Jackson every single day. As we head into fall, we’re looking forward to several exciting community events, including our 44th Annual Forestry Festival, the largest event in Clarke County. This event will be on November 7, 2026, and a few key features are the Lumberjack competition, turkey calling contest, food and market vendors, and an antique auto show. We invite everyone to stay connected with the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce as we continue bringing our community together through events that celebrate Jackson and the people who make it such a great place to live.” – Courtney Clark
During the Back-to-School Breakfast, Clarke-Washington was able to meet with educators and administrators as well as share information on our Electrical Safety Demonstrations we hold at schools across four counties. At these demonstrations kids enjoy learning all about Clarke-Washington through our linemen who stop by and visit to encourage safe practices when encountering electricity. Clarke-Washington EMC is a proud supporter of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce and all our local educators across our service area. The ability to support
our educators is a great opportunity to give back to those who help shape the future of our communities. You can visit the Jackson Chamber’s website at www.jacksonalabama.org for upcoming events. You can also visit www.cwemc.com/safety-demonstrations to schedule a demonstration for your school or class. We look forward to continuing the support of our members and communities.
